Finally got around to getting a new neck and pickup on tele #1 and picked up a sweet backup John 5 model at that I pulled the neck pickup out of and replaced the pick guard. Looking forward to practice this week!

A little bit of what I’ve been up to. Don’t worry I’m still a rock and roller.

A little before and after of a bridge pickup swap out I did last night. Looking forward to plugging it in as I think it’s going to be a fun combo with the incredible neck PU.

New Amp Day. Picked up this sweet Univox 1221 from ‘s Greenfield shop. Sounds amazing and was filled with vintage . Rocked it the other night at practice and it kicked ass paired with the cab from Next stop- pedal board cuz this thing takes pedals perfectly.

This Bell and Howell speaker is going to end up a nice little funky amp when I’m done with it. Just deciding whether or not to make it a 10w solid state germanium transistor amp or to go with a 5w tube set up.

Here’s a fun one due for a tune up.

This is the kind of thing that gets me excited. I went to take apart this ancient “Solid State Reverb” in order to replace the old capacitors and hopefully get rid of some noise. I found that the genius Japanese engineer from 50 years ago that designed it decided servicing it a breeze. They left a little work hole on the top of the chassis that perfectly sets out the solder side of the board. No disassembly necessary! Gonna get to work on this guy in the morning, give it a good cleaning, and hopefully clean up the sound a bit as well. Cheers.
