we've been asked 1000 times or more.. and now's your chance! Velvet Goldmine is hiring (and likely growing) and the time has come to hire some staff so i don't die of exhaustion by December! DM for more details but here are some basics: days and most weekends are required, we are open 12-6 daily! while i cannot afford to offer health insurance right now, i do have high hopes that we will be able to offer that in the future as we grow. experience in the vintage clothing world is a major plus. I know you will hear this a lot, but i cannot stress enough that reliability, good social demeanor, sales skills, customer service skills and a friendly outgoing personality are really really important for this gig. Velvet Goldmine has a reputation for an outgoing friendly environment, and we have to be able to trust that any hires will be able to maintain that 5 star reputation. :) we will pay a competitive wage, and there is room to grow as we grow! email resumes to [email protected] or DM with inquiries! ❤️❤️❤️

Sorry i've barely posted, it's been a week of chaos as it often is and i'm mad scrambling around here to get this place in order for this weekend's open hours at Design at 329! we hvae absolutely tons of great new pieces hitting the floor this week, here is just a small sampler! milo baughman, danish teak and oak, walnut coffee tables, some killer dressers.. it's all here! i'm working on more dining tables, nesting tables, end tables and more in the hopes of getting those finished before opening tomorrow! see you there!

It has been brought to our attention that there is a fraudulent Shopify website purporting to be us, illegally copying our photos and scamming customers. WE DO NOT HAVE A WEBSITE. WE DO NOT SELL ONLINE. For the last 10 years, we have always sold our pieces strictly in store here in Chicago. We do not intend to change that ever. We are vintage by Chicago and for Chicago! please help us by reporting the website VELVETGOLDMINE.US to Shopify for scam or fraud. be safe out there, and come see us in person for beautiful pieces at excellent prices. 😘😘😘

We got a live one! absolutely GORGEOUS queen size teak platform bed with floating nightstands just hit the floor and it is a stunner! 106" wide, 84" deep and 27" tall (at headboard), priced at $1295! NO PRESALES on this one and available exclusively this weekend in our 7000 sq ft showroom at Design at 329 in Pilsen!
