Heirloom Books

Heirloom Books Bookshops cherish the growth of reading. Chicago bookshops are heirlooms to our city, thus our name.

Heirloom Books is a not-for-profit (tax-exempt 501c3) used bookshop, our income going towards several educational scholarship programs. Our pricing policy:

Books are priced in accord with the current market value of copies of comparable quality. In most cases we work from bookfinder.com for books and musicstack.com for LPs, pricing items at the same or, usually, less than listed there. CDs and DV

Ds are sold at considerably below market value, usually at a dollar per disk. Prices are not marked, the only items pre-priced being signed editions and books published before 1926, all of which are listed on a searchable database on our website, heirloomchicago.com/signed-and-antique-books. Heirloom's stock is primarily maintained through tax-deductible donations.

Fellow Audiophiles: Come join us this Saturday at 7pm at High Voltage Records and Hifi for I'll Ask Alaska, and friends of the shop, Mr. E (James Eidson), and Andrew Marr. It promises to be super local and super intimate. Make sure to BYOB.

While you're there, make sure to check out the venue, High Voltage Records. It's a new, locally-owned, record store with lots of great music and a real love for quality vinyl. Special place.
