DAY FIVE: IT 🤡🎈

An arrangement in two parts- one for Georgie and one for Pennywise. Georgie’s petite votive full of bright, sweet blooms represents the playful innocence of childhood. Pennywise gets the funkiest, weirdest, creepiest flowers- brain celosia, scabiosa, deep burgundy ranunculus. The usage of both flowering scabiosa and scabiosa pods was intentional; life and death.

And since we all float down here, it’s only natural to have a balloon involved.

DAY FOUR: CO**SE BRIDE 🦋⚰️
“Roses for everlasting love, lilies for sweetness.”

We didn’t have lilies, so she gets dahlias 😉
We used distinct pairs of like flowers to reference Emily’s undying desire to find true love. Grasses give the texture and dramatic impression of any Tim Burton film. Most importantly, gothic butterflies tie everything together to remind you of Emily’s iconic sendoff.

Let’s be real, our girl deserved better.

DAY THREE: PRACTICAL MAGIC 🥂🕯️

Playful, romantic, and full of movement, we’re hoping this arrangement will bring a little extra pizazz to Midnight Margaritas!

To reflect the Owens’ gorgeous garden (where bodies may or may not be buried), we chose a mix of dahlias, cosmos, roses, mums, and seasonal grasses.

DAY TWO: CARRIE 👑🩸
“No, Momma. My will.”

Carrie White, this one’s for you!
We started this arrangement off clean, simple, and innocent. Accented by paper flowers, we focus on Carrie’s quiet beginnings. Meant to feel like blood is dripping onto the arrangement, red splashes eventually shine through to remind you of this iconic scene.

It wouldn’t be complete without the Prom Queen sash!

FLORA HALLOWEEN HORRORS PRESENTS: BLAIR WITCH PROJECT 🕷️🌹

Complete with stick men, curly willow, and the moodiest blooms, this arrangement is sure to please any witch or warlock!
Each stem was chosen with intentionality, to drive home that “lost in the woods” feeling.

🌸FLOWER FACT FRIDAY🌸
Let’s talk orchids! 🪴

Most people are familiar with Phalaenopsis orchids (AKA moth orchids), but there are over 28,000 different species! Roughly 10% of all plant life on Earth is made up of these beauties, making them one of the largest plant families on the planet. Neat, right?!

The orchid family has been a favorite among scientists (Darwin himself had an affinity for them!) for centuries, in part due to their incredibly diverse blooms.

Here, we’ve got a Phalaenopsis, Mokara, and Cymbidium. Three examples of how stunningly unique these plants are.

With the days getting shorter, weather getting gloomier, and the temperature starting to drop, vibrant color makes all the difference.

🪻FLOWER FACT FRIDAY🪻
Ever wondered why we take all the leaves off of hydrangeas? Wonder no longer!

Hydrangeas are fragile flowers; needy, impatient, and sensitive. We love them anyway. Here’s what we do to keep these beauties fresh in the vase:

1. Remove all leaves 🌿
2. Soak heads in water for at least 20 minutes, then shake excess water off 🌊

3. Cut stems with very sharp, precise blades at 45° angle. Hydrangea’s vascular systems are quite fragile, and if crushed won’t take up enough water. A knife gets the best result, but precision clippers are great too! ✂️

4. Refresh water daily & keep out of direct sunlight ☀️
