It has been fun these final weeks as we talk to all the great customers (well wishers) who come in to reminisce with us. We are still trying to keep local tackle instock for the end of the end of season anglers who come in and of course we still condition our Night Crawlers for our patrons. Pier Passes will not be sold by us this year and Parking Passes will be in stock for only a few more days. It's been a great run with many to thank. Tom and Steve Palmisano

This is the fifth STANDING state record fish that that we at Henrys have officiated !!!!!

Travis Strickland caught the pending Illinois-record skipjack herring, in part because he knew what he had; plus the Stray Cast (hello, Warren Zevon).

LIsten to Chauncey from ESPN Radio Am 1000 interview Jarrett Knize who is the NEW RECORD HOLDER of the largest Big Head Carp caught in Illinois 72.9 lbs. The fish was weighted in on the certified scale that Henry's Sport and Bait were many Illinois record fish have been weighted. Congrats Jarrett.

We are enjoying seeing our customers as they are warming up for the season. Our fishing license terminals are in action as we wind line and service all of our great customers needs It is our families 68 th year in business. Thank you all.

Lake perch are in!!! People are fishing the south side; 87th, 95th, all around Cal Harbor and getting nice limits. Come out and visit Henry's for all your perch fishing needs. Practice social distancing with your fellow anglers and breath some fresh Lake Michigan air. Stay Healthy!

Cook County Stocked Trout Fishing Lakes Are Open As of June 9, 2020

All of the Cook County Forest Preserve stocked trout fishing lakes have reopened as of June 9, 2020. Please remember to have your inland trout stamp and a current fishing license if required by state law.
Received from the Forest Preserve District of Cook County; "We opened the five Forest Preserves trout lakes this morning, June 9th. Like other local agencies, we decided on a soft opening without an announcement to avoid the typical crowds of trout season’s opening day. For anyone who is interested in trout fishing in the Forest Preserves, please help stop the potential to spread COVID-19 by physical distancing six feet or more from other angles who don’t live in your household".

The five lakes are Axehead Lake, Belleau Lake, Green Lake, Horsetail Lake, and Sag Quarry East.
