This stunning bench copy by Antoine Nédélec & Jeffrey Phillips captures the character and quality of the historic 1735 ‘Sennhauser’ Guarneri ‘del Gesù’ in a remarkable way. We know of few craftspeople in the world with both the technical and artistic ability to create such a faithful, true bench copy. Bravo, Antoine and Jeffrey!

A big thank you to The Stradivari Society for making this collaboration possible!

A fine violin bow by Jean Pierre Marie Persoit

The violin bow we are offering here was made by Jean Pierre Marie Persoit and is in a beautiful and fresh state of preservation. It has incisive articulation and is quite nimble in the hand. Tonally, it produces a brilliant and soloistic sound. The bow retains its original frog and button and is a characteristic example by this rare and highly sought after maker.

A fine violin by Matteo Goffriller, Venice, early 18th century

As the founding father of the Venetian school, Matteo Goffriller shaped the future of violin making in Venice and influenced the work of Pietro Guarneri, Domenico Montagnana, Santo Serafin, Francesco Gobetti, and Carlo Tononi.

The violin we are offering here was previously owned by the virtuoso violinist Giorgio Ciompi, international soloist, member of the Albeneri Trio, and founder of the celebrated Ciompi Quartet. Tonally, the violin is powerful and clear and projects a sparkly brilliance. It has lovely Venetian varnish and is a characteristic example by the maker.

A fine violin by ANDREA GUARNERI, Cremona, 1674

This fine violin plays with an exceptional level of comfort and offers full concert power with quintessential Guarneri depth and darkness.

Founder of the great Guarneri dynasty, Andrea apprenticed with Nicoló Amati from 1641-1646 and 1650-1654. During his time in the Amati shop he most likely worked alongside Antonio Stradivari who apprenticed there at the same time.
