Given the slight relaxing of the Illinois Stay at Home order, we will resume in-home tunings starting May 1st to a limited area: north to Glenview/Winnetka, west to Oak Park/Park Ridge, south to Hyde Park. An electronic form of payment would be preferable to cash or check, such as Venmo, PayPal, or Zelle/QuckPay.

We are following Governor Pritzker's stay at home orders and will not schedule any appointments before April 30. I'm hoping that increased testing will allow for less restrictions at that time, but we will continue to follow government guidelines if they change.

Hello. Some helpful info for pianists, teachers, parents, etc.

It should go without saying, but wash your hands before you play the piano.

If the keys are dirty clean them with a damp cloth. Put the cloth in the wash.

Use only alcohol based disinfectants (no bleach) on the keys. If using a disinfecting spray, spray it on a cloth to apply. Never spray directly on the keys.

Wipe the keys gently with a alcohol based disinfectant wipe or spray applied to a cloth. Wipe dry with a paper towel. Throw the paper towel away.

Practice, practice, practice.

Wash your hands.

For classroom and studio pianos, remove all pencils and ask people to bring their own, and take it with them.

This morning's helper, a bearded dragon named Baby. My client says it responds to the piano being played. I'm guessing its beard stubble is sensing the sound vibration.
