COME OUT, LITTLE CREEPS, RUN….

A million thanks for everyone who showed up and helped out and put in the work to make Covet’s first birthday such an amazing success.
What a strange and beautiful thing we have birthed here in Logan Square; all of us collectively nurturing and protecting and watching it grow.
This community is so dear to us and means more to us than you could ever understand. Benjamin Santine and I, we were the misfits born within the alien-nation, ostracized and cast aside— burdened with the aching of being different, never being in one place long enough to belong, no real homes to call home, no familiar social structure to suture into— so we set out to build our own— our own community, our own family, our own place where no one would ever feel like an outsider or a weirdo or a castaway again.
And we did it.
All of us TOGETHER.
WE F**KING DID IT.

And we’re just getting started.

One year down. With your help, we’ll have many more.

It was a magical day full of so many beautiful moments with so many beautiful people, and we were moved beyond belief because you guys SHOWED THE F**K UP and poured your love into the event as much as we did. So THANK YOU 🙏🏼

Wallowing in your misery because you weren’t able to make the anniversary event and snag the Neverwhere pieces you’ve been dying to get your hands on? Well DO NOT START WRITING THAT POE INSPIRED POETRY JUST YET, FRIENDS— because we have some Neverwhere items in stock and they’re waiting for you! 🙌🏼

Even though Samantha Lubrano has left Chicago, she was kind enough to leave us with some Neverwhere pieces for the shop! But as always, these are limited pieces with limited stock- so once they’re gone, they’re gone!

So stop by Covet and pick up your FOMO items and see the new expanded space while you’re at it. You’ll be thankful you snatched up some Neverwhere while you could when you’re in the afterlife, trust us.

*Just a reminder that tattoos are first come, first serve. If you aren’t able to get tattooed tomorrow, please don’t fret— both .ai & .lil.gothgirl are local artists, so you can book with them any time in the future to plan your dream tattoo.
We are expecting a good turnout so just keep in mind there may be some waiting, but luckily we have things planned throughout the day to keep you entertained. is a another local spooky artist and we’d really love for you to come out and support her during her set. She’ll be playing in an area that has yet to be revealed… so don’t miss it!

𝔚𝔢’𝔩𝔩 𝔤𝔢𝔱 𝔬𝔲𝔯 𝔭𝔢𝔞𝔠𝔢 𝔦𝔫 𝔄𝔯𝔪𝔞𝔤𝔢𝔡𝔡𝔬𝔫… 🖤

Beyond honored to have these two wonderful humans stop by the shop yesterday! John & Toby from .family.films were in town for a special q&a screening for their 2021 film release, Hellbender, at the Davis Theater and we were lucky enough to spend some time with them beforehand and we can attest that they are just the warmest and coolest people around.
Their little family of four, which makes up their production company/artistic collaboration, Wonder Wheel Productions, is out there doing some incredible things for horror and art in general and we truly can’t say enough good things about them as people and as creative filmmakers.

If you haven’t checked out any of their films yet, we HIGHLY recommend it. Not only do they write, act in, shoot, direct, edit and produce all of their own films, but they also write and record the scores with their family band, , as well! They are the true DEFINITION of DIY and staying true to yourself and your vision!!

John & Toby— Thank you guys for taking the time out of your busy day to visit with us, and thank you for absolute beauty you all bring to the horror genre. We cannot wait to see what you do next 🖤

An open letter to everyone who crossed the threshold into our sacred space during the month of May, everyone who attended one of the two events we held over the last month, and all of you who made our days brighter with your presence, energy, enthusiasm, and curiosity —
We see you, we celebrate you, and we love you more than you know 🖤

We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again— we have THE MOST radiantly stunning customers in the world. Inside and out. You all are what makes this oftentimes sh*tty world we live in so incredibly beautiful and we are honored to share this timeline with you.

We’re coming up on one whole year as a brick & mortar (next weekend!), and we truly could not have made it this far without your support and the belief you have in us and what we do.

NEWS NEWS NEWS!!— We’ve added a SECOND tattoo artist to our one year anniversary event on June 6th and we KNOW you’re gonna want to get in line for these!! 👁️

We quickly realized that one tattoo artist would not be enough to cover the demand of folks wanting to get tattooed next Saturday, so we asked our pal .lil.gothgirl to join us in our wicked celebration! Aileen will be offering up her very own unique set of Covet inspired flash tattoos at the $66.60 price point! **Fun fact: .lil.gothgirl is the first tattoo artist to work on .maggot after we moved here to Chicago! And she can attest that Aileen has the lightest hand when it comes to tattoos and absolutely excels at fine line and detail work. Just check out the designs she’s created!! Is that (possibly haunted but maybe not) babydoll head calling out to anyone else but us? What about the frog in a jar that’s inspired by an actual specimen Aileen scored from Covet and keeps at her studio?! Or maybe you need that palo santo bundle tattooed on you for life (because burning some just isn’t enough to clear all the negative energy in the world rn!)
Whichever design you chose— it will be the right one and we CANNOT WAIT to see everyone with their fresh tattoos on Saturday!!

Details are just as it was before: first come, first serve (each artist will have their own sign up sheet but you must sign up IN PERSON to keep it fair) + arms & legs only + no color + $66.60 per design + designs are roughly palm sized + and don’t forget to tip your artist!!

FRIENDS!! We are SO excited to have vending here at Covet for our one year anniversary celebration on June 6th we have been screaming/crying/throwing up internally for weeks!!!

+ Not only will you have a chance to shop the jaw dropping, unique, inspiring, size inclusive, limited Neverwhere collection in a range of sizes here irl, but Samantha () herself— the creative genius behind the woman-owned powerhouse that is the *glorious* Neverwhere— WILL be here!! She’s also got some handmade/DIY chain jewelry and Chaos tops coming with her as well (just wait til you see these)!!!

++ As always, these pieces are LIMITED drops— this entire collection will disappear into the Neverwhere vaults in July— so if you have your heart set on snagging a piece (or if you just want to meet Samantha and give her a hug!) you will NOT want to miss this event!
