As a saddle fitter, I get to visit beautiful places every single day, but this one was truly one of a kind. 😍Definitely a dream to have a farm like this myself one day. Places like this make me realize how lucky I am with this job. Yes, there’s still admin waiting for me at home (someone’s got to do it 😅), but swapping a 9-to-5 desk for views like these? Here’s a little side-by-side to show you what we mean 👆
Every horse’s back has its own shape: some are wide and flat, others narrower with more curve through the withers and topline. That’s exactly why we measure and track each horse individually. A saddle that’s perfect for one horse can pinch, bridge, or rock on another, even if they’re close in size or weight.

A is the wither tracing, B is the lowest point of the back, and C is the spinal curvature. Take a look at how differently these measure between the two. This is just one example of why “one size fits all” doesn’t exist when it comes to saddle fit 🐴

Can a saddle pad really fix a bad fit? Short answer: no. But it CAN help in the right situations.
