Peonies might just be the best flower ever. They are the queens of the garden because they grow from a crown. A peek at some of the beauty we will have for Mother’s Day this weekend!

Most of our excellent peonies are reserved for online orders. We will have some at the farmers market, but come early to make sure you get some!

Children’s laughter, a bird singing in the morning, a smile. This is what flowers are all about. Joy in the moment. Make slowing down, even just for a moment, your daily practice.

It is Easter weekend and we have so much beauty to share with you! Find our blooms at the Chico farmers market, BAPA’s in Meriam Park or order a stunning arrangement online.

So much gratitude for the flowers and for you, today and everyday 🌷

Almond blossom season has me feeling like I’m living in a Van Gogh. I love these flowers en masse, it is a show that is brief and with the rain and wind we’re having I expect they will drop from their branches soon.

Our farm is surrounded on 3 sides by almond farms and the air at my house smells and tastes like sweet honey. We may not agree with their farming practices, but this season is spectacular.

The quiet stillness of winter is a welcome time of rest. But the first buds have begun to break and spring is returning.
The story of Narcissus, so enamored with his own beautiful reflection, falls into the water and drowns. The flower narcissus gets its name from this story. In nature, they grow near water and nod their many heads, as if gazing at their reflection for all of their time alive.
I have always loved this cautionary tale. These first flowers of the year are so easy to enjoy, their fragrance is a reminder of spring emerging from winter. I hope you take a moment to slow down and enjoy their sweetness.

Can’t believe we’re in the midst of November and still pulling so much beauty from the field! The dahlias have slowed down while the chrysanthemums have ramped up. Just in a bit of awe that the flowers are still going and looking this radiant. These flowers have me feeling grateful and happy and keeping us busy!

These mums though, all hail 👑

Happiest little late planting of zinnias you ever did see. Don’t you just love these colors?

The season is changing but there are still so many beautiful blooms coming out of the field right now. You’ll find these sweet zinnias, gorgeous dahlias, sunflowers, marigolds, celosia, cosmos and a few last lingering lisianthus in the mix. You might even spot some early heirloom mums!
