Last fall, ChavisCrossing and Eliora moved into our spaces inside Ellie Mills Mercantile with the intention of operating a little differently. While we are two separate businesses, our hope was to exist beside one another almost as one—bringing together boutique clothing, graphic apparel, hometown gear, faith-centered books and gifts, and just a really good variety for our Jackson community.
Then our sweet “boss baby” decided to make his arrival a little earlier than expected, and if I’m being completely transparent, life has pretty much been a whirlwind ever since. 😂🤍 Some of the things we had planned simply had to be put on hold for a season.
But God is faithful in every season—even the busy ones, the messy ones, and the ones where our timeline looks a whole lot different than His.
So when we talked with Kris about finally making some of the changes we had envisioned, we set a deadline for September…and here we are.
When Rob and I traveled to Atlanta Market in June, we intentionally ordered additional inventory and resources specifically for Jackson. Operating a full-scale storefront in Chillicothe while continuing to grow and maintain our little Jackson location is a much bigger undertaking than I think either of us realized—but Jackson is home, and continuing to pour back into the community that helped us get started matters to us.
There is still work to do. Displays are changing, hardware is being added, and we’re going to keep making room for more as we figure out how to use every inch we’ve been given.
Jackson apparel is stocked in toddler, youth and adult sizes, and we’ll be restocking weekly. We also have quite a few designs that we have intentionally decided not to share all over social media. 😉 You’ll just have to stop in and see what’s there.
Alongside all of that, you’ll continue seeing more of the heart of Eliora added too—faith-centered readings and pieces that point people back to Jesus. Whether we’re in Chillicothe, Jackson, or wherever God allows us to go next, the mission really doesn’t change: Use what He has placed in our hands, love people well, and reflect His light wherever He plants us. 🤍
We’re excited to keep building this little corner alongside Chavis Crossing. Come see us in Jackson inside Ellie Mills Mercantile
