A huge THANK YOU to the amazing group of volunteers who joined us Monday for the HIRVI clean-up! The building hasn’t looked this good in over 20 years! 🌟

👉Stop by the Community Center TONIGHT from 3:30–7 pm for the Chiloquin Connects event to learn about ALL the exciting projects happening in our community.
👉You can also take a short walk over to the HIRVI building for a tour! We’ll have the building open, and while all retail spaces are rented, we still have four office spaces available.

📢 Volunteer Call: Hirvi Building Clean-Up Day!

As part of our Main Street Oregon grant requirements, we’re organizing a volunteer clean-up effort on Monday, November 11th, starting at 10 AM — and we’d love your help! 🌟 This grant has been essential to our project, and community involvement is key to its success.

With the Chiloquin Connects event coming up on Thursday evening, we’re preparing the Hirvi Building for an open house where folks can tour the spaces in-progress! We’ll be cleaning up trash, sweeping, mopping, dusting, and getting everything looking its best.

If you’re available, please join us! Bring a broom and work gloves if you have them. Every hand makes a difference, and your support means a lot to us and to our community! 🙏

Welcome to the HIRVI Building – a cherished relic of Chiloquin's past and a vibrant symbol of its current revival. This iconic pre-WWII era commercial structure, standing proudly at the crossroads gateway into Chiloquin, has been a welcoming presence since its construction circa 1926. Now, it stands ready to embark on a remarkable comeback story, in a collaborative effort led by local building owners with funding support from Oregon Heritage, a division of Oregon Park and Recreation Department.

Upon completion of the restoration, the HIRVI Building will offer six professional office spaces and up to four unique retail spaces. These spaces, bathed in natural light from the building’s historic windows, will be available for lease in Spring 2024. This restoration endeavor is not merely a rejuvenation of a historic landmark; it's a pivotal step toward inspiring future investments and economic development in downtown Chiloquin.
