In 1992 Ann and Peter O'Leary chose a different path.They left city life behind and opened an old timey general store in Chimney Rock, North Carolina.Their one-year-old yellow Labrador became the store's mascot and spokes-person and Bubba O'Leary's General Store was born. Nestled in the Charming town of Chimney Rock is a quaint village know as Hickory Nut Gorge. Home to Bubba's General Store & Outfitters which sits tucked at the base of Chimney Rock State Park. Giving a shout out to one of our Firefighter Nick Sottile for climbing the stairs at Chimney Rock State Park! Climbing the stairs at the park 4 times is a little under the 2071 steps that the firefighters had to climb at the World Trade Center 25 years ago today. Nick we thank you for your dedication and desire to honor those lost on 9/11.

It has been a busy week at Bubbas! We had wood planks delivered for our walls. The planks are from Edneyvillle NC, from trees that were damaged during hurricane Helene.

We had flooring delivered. The planks were already going up today! We couldn’t be more thrilled! Oh and the mural is looking amazing!
