🐾Definitely a beggar….🐾

🐾 Kato does not fit the old 🐾 saying “Beggars can’t be choosers”. He’s definitely fussy about his people food choices. 🐾. But he’ll definitely be sitting right at your side waiting for a taste. 🐾

It’s been a couple weeks since 🐾 Kato has 🐾 been to Mana's Cottage. He gave me a bit of a lecture 🐾 about hurrying summer along with all the Fall Colors 🤎🧡💛 we 🐾 added to the booth. I told 🐾him it’s because the customers are 🐾already thinking ahead. 🐾. Definitely not because we want summer to end.🐾🐾

Clean’em, Sand’em, Clean’em, Paint’em….Repeat

Just one month away to the Vintage in the Valley event and the workshop is in full work mode.

Mana's Cottage doesn’t really have a workshop just a garage that spills out into the driveway to work on furniture pieces.
This weekend (when we really wanted to be camping) we tackled a few pieces to give them new life 💚for our Pop Up Sale.

Let’s call it the revolving back wall.

A few weeks ago we did an overall booth rearrangement and opened up the back wall for more hanging decor.

It was looking 👀 pretty bare yesterday morning and Mana's Cottage added this large Pier One (yep they are even Vintage)Sunburst Mirror piece, a small heart shelf and a Union Jack cutting board. Nice variety we thought. 💚

Thank you to all the patrons who keep emptying it.

Pitcher not Picture

When I see these adorable vessels the lyrics of a popular song 🎶 come to mind.
“Pour Me Another Drink”

The word Pitcher comes from the 13th century Middle English word picher (meaning an earthen jug). Sure is a fitting word to describe these pieces.

For thousands of years people used clay, metal and glass pitcher jugs to store, carry and serve communal beverages such as water, milk, wine and beer.

These days a pitcher is rarely used for serving liquids they are more often a beautiful centerpiece or focal point of a display filled with a floral arrangement.
More vase than pitcher.

If you take a stroll around Collective Charm, you’ll surely find some beautiful pitchers.

Mana's Cottage loves 💚a pretty pitcher. Our favorites are on display in our home, but these pieces are in the booth ready for your next bouquet.💐

End of another summer…

Just 2 more weeks of golf league and you can tell Fall is nearing. The sun 🌞 sets earlier and the acorns are falling on the course.

In Wisconsin the school year is already starting. Soon buses 🚌 and teenage drivers will be back in the morning traffic.

The first Packer game was the talk of the office. 🏈

The last of the summer tourists are flowing through our little Midwest town.

The summer flowers are looking a bit straggly and soon the Mums will take over.

Just a pickin’ and a grinning.

Even on a Girls mini vacation the pickin’ never stops. On a 5 hour drive….you always need a break. And the Mana's Cottage Toyota has a habit of making quick turns at Garage Sale Signs. Then your girlfriends send pictures of what they are finding at the Antique Mall.

When we finally got to our destination the laughter began.

Usually I have tons of pictures from our Girlfriend Get Aways but this time I kinda just enjoyed the time and left that distraction in my purse.

Sharing the pickin’ treasures that were brought home. What’s something in this haul you probably wouldn’t like? Yep, I said wouldn’t…😂
