The Niger Bend We are devoted to finding and making available to the world the finest quality, most unusual art. My life is devoted to this effort.

I lived in Africa for a year before starting this import business 35 years ago. During the first 20 years of that time I traveled extensively only in West Africa but for the last 15 years have also been traveling in Southeast Asia. Almost everything we have ever bought to sell we have bought ourselves from producers and their representatives in Africa and Asia. We abide by Fair Trade principles an

d work closely with people in many countries to obtain the best art and crafts and promote the well-being of those people. I love what the people in Africa and Asia with whom I work; I love their art; I love all the places I go to find what I buy. I have become fully integrated into the lives of the people I work with.
