Most candles at this festival are made with soy wax.

Ours aren't.

🕯️ We use coconut apricot wax — and here's why it matters to you:
*Longer burn.
*Stronger scent.
*Cleaner air.
*Smoother finish after every single burn.

Soy wax is cheap, widely available, and what almost every candle maker defaults to.
Coconut apricot wax is what luxury candle brands use when they actually care about performance.

We chose it because we believe what burns in your home matters — for your air, your health, and your experience.
*No frosting.
*No surface cracks.
*No weak throw that disappears after an hour.
*Just a clean, even, long-lasting burn that fills the room.
**Every. Single. Time.**

Did you know? 🕯️

When a candle says "8 oz"...
that's usually the jar size.

Not the wax inside.

Wax is less dense than water.

So that "8 oz" candle?
Might only have 5 or 6 oz of wax in it.

It's common practice in the industry.
And most people have no idea.

At Autumn Laurel —
we label the TRUE wax weight.
Every time.

No games. No shortcuts.

Just exactly what it says on the label.
(Usually even a little more. 🤍)

We’re coming home 🌼

This will be our first time at the Gloucester Daffodil Festival as a vendor—but not our first time here.

I grew up in Tidewater, where Colonial Virginia isn’t something you visit—it’s something you live alongside.

Spring meant daffodils showing up quietly along the roadside, warm air coming back in, and that feeling that the season had finally turned.

I didn’t realize how much of that stayed with me…until I started building something of my own.

Autumn Laurel came together in the mountains—but those early pieces never left.

This coming weekend, we bring it all back to Gloucester.

Booth 453 · Main Street & Justice Road

Come find us—I’d love to share this with you.

Some pieces in the booth are there for a reason beyond decoration.

This board started as a plain piece of wood on my workbench. I engraved the Autumn Laurel mark into the grain with Gloucester and Tidewater on my mind — the place where this story really begins for me.

It will sit behind the coastal and colonial candles in my display, like a quiet backdrop to the scents inspired by Virginia’s rivers, ships, and shoreline.
I love the creative process of building these small details. Every piece in the booth is made with the hope that someone will stop, lean in a little closer, and feel the story behind the candle.

Handcrafted in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, carrying a bit of Tidewater and colonial history with it.

We made it in as a vendor! This is a full circle moment for me, as I grew up in this part of Virginia and have been working hard to develop a signature scent and candle that aligns with the beauty and brine of Gloucester. To say we are excited is an understatement!

Daffodil Festival Vendor Update

We’re excited to share that vendor selections for this year’s Daffodil Festival have officially been made.

This year, we received over 550 vendor applications, which speaks volumes about how special this festival has become. While we truly wish we could welcome everyone, space limitations allow for 280 booths. Please know this was not an easy process, and we are grateful to every vendor who took the time to apply.

This year’s festival will feature:
• 37% new vendors
• 52% local vendors

In addition to our amazing vendors, we’re thrilled to introduce several new festival highlights, including a petting zoo, Reptile Talks, the return of the Daffodil Dash 5k! Download our new Festival Mobile App on Android and IOS to stay up to date. If you want to keep the party going, register for a commemorative sail excursion in April.

And of course, all the community favorites will be back:
• Live Entertainment- The Deloreans and Bobby Blackhat
• Living History
• The Parade, with a special twist!

We look forward to celebrating another unforgettable Daffodil Festival with our community.
