This is actually one of the questions we get pretty often, so let’s talk about how Cora’s Cakery works!

We currently bake and operate from the Incubator Kitchen Collective in Newport, KY. We’re not a walk-in bakery, which means everything we make is prepared specifically for the orders and events on our schedule. 🤎

You place your order online, choose the available fulfillment option for your order and we take it from there!

That setup has allowed us to focus on what Cora’s Cakery is growing into: more catering, more Cake Bar experiences, more corporate orders, more wholesale partnerships and yes…A LOT more brownies. 😂

So while you may not be able to walk into a Cora’s Cakery storefront right now, there is PLENTY happening behind those kitchen doors.

And I think it’s important that you get to see that part of our journey too. ❤️

Sometimes I have to remind myself that Cora’s Cakery was never supposed to just be about cake.

Yes, I want you to LOVE the brownies. 😂

Yes, I want you building Cake Bowls with entirely too many toppings.

Yes, I want Cora’s Cakery at your birthdays, weddings, office celebrations and all the moments in between.

But underneath all of that is a story.

Cora was my grandmother. 🤎

What started as a way to honor her memory has grown into something that has allowed us to serve our community, give back, create opportunities and dream about what this business could become.

And there are days when entrepreneurship is HARD.

There are doors I thought would open that didn’t.

Plans that changed.

Moments when I’ve had to completely rethink what I thought Cora’s Cakery was going to look like.

But God has continued to give me another step.

So I’m taking it.

One brownie box.
One Cake Bar.
One corporate order.
One wholesale partner.
One Cake Cousin at a time. 🤎

We’re still building.

“How do I order if you don’t have a storefront?”

VERY good question.

Cora’s Cakery is currently order-based, which means instead of walking into a store and hoping we have what you want, you head to our website and place your order ahead of time.

Depending on the item, you’ll see the fulfillment options available for that product.

And for my brownie lovers who aren’t local…WE SHIP! 📦🤎

Our Brownie Boxes ship every Tuesday. Orders placed by Saturday at 11:59 PM make the upcoming Tuesday shipment. After that cutoff, your box rolls into the following Tuesday.

Basically: you order → I bake → we pack it up → and your desserts start making their way to YOU. 🙌🏾

No storefront right now. Still baking. Still growing. Still Cora’s Cakery. 🤎

And if you ever get confused while ordering, ASK ME. I would much rather help you than have you leave the website frustrated. 😂

I’ve had seasons where I thought I knew exactly how the story was supposed to go.

Then God said, “Not that way.” 😂

Some doors closed.

Some plans changed.

Some things took longer than I wanted.

But I’ve also watched Him provide opportunities I couldn’t have planned myself.

So here’s your Monday reminder:

Different doesn’t mean defeated.

Actually... quite the opposite.

This kitchen has watched me make brownies for wholesale partners, prepare Cake Bars, pack orders, develop new products and figure out what the next version of Cora's Cakery looks like.

We're currently operating from the Incubator Kitchen Collective instead of a traditional walk-in bakery.

That means you order first and select your pickup/delivery option when ordering.

Is this the final chapter?

Nope. 😉

But I'm learning there's nothing wrong with letting people see the middle of the story.

You don't have to disappear while you're building.
