Help Me Fight End-Stage Kidney Disease

2025 has been an incredibly challenging year for me and my family. We were involved in an accident, and on top of that, I spent much of the year seriously ill. This came after years of recovery from another major health battle.

In 2022, I was diagnosed with cervical cancer and underwent a hysterectomy. The surgery and recovery took several years, and just as I was beginning to regain my strength, I was faced with devastating news once again.

In October 2025, my life changed overnight.

I was admitted to Mercy Hospital after experiencing severe weakness in my feet, difficulty breathing, and persistent vomiting. I became so exhausted and weak that I felt a frightening tightness in my chest and rushed to urgent care near my home. The doctor immediately sent me to the emergency room, where multiple tests were performed, and an emergency catheter was placed so dialysis could begin right away.

I was admitted to the ICU, where I spent 12 days fighting for my life. Doctors performed a kidney biopsy and delivered devastating news: my kidney function had dropped to just 5%. I was diagnosed with end-stage kidney disease caused by an autoimmune attack—my own immune system had begun attacking my kidneys.

I do not smoke or drink, and I never imagined facing something like this. Yet within days, I became dependent on dialysis to survive. Along with the physical and emotional toll, the financial burden has been overwhelming. Hospitalization, ICU care, ongoing dialysis treatments, medications, follow-up appointments, and other medical needs continue to add up.

To make matters more difficult, I am currently not covered by any medical aid or insurance. The cost of regular outpatient dialysis has become a heavy financial burden, and I am struggling to keep up with the bills. I am reaching out for help to cover my hospital expenses and ongoing dialysis treatments until I can secure medical insurance.

With your support, I can continue my outpatient dialysis and focus on sustaining and caring for my two children during this incredibly difficult time. Any contribution—no matter how small—will go directly toward essential medical expenses and life-sustaining care.

If you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser also means more than you know. Thank you for taking the time to read my story, for your kindness, and for standing with me and my family during this journey. ❤️
