Tonight, we Celebrate Hecate, the Goddess of the Moon, the Night, the Crossroads and MagicK.

The Feast of Hecate is celebrated by many modern Pagans on August 13th, beautifully blending ancient history with Modern MagicK. This date is inspired by Nemoralia, an ancient Roman festival that honored the Goddess Diana with torches in the woods. Because Hecate and Diana became deeply intertw**ed in the classical world, contemporary practitioners often use this night to honor Hecate as ruler of the wild. While ancient Greeks traditionally honored Hecate monthly during the Dark Moon, Deipnon, modern devotees use tonight to ask for her guidance through Seasonal changes and protection from Autumn storms.

The timing also coincides with the peak of the Perseid meteor shower, symbolizing the falling stars like her torches in the night sky. Traditional offerings rooted in Ancient history may include garlic, honey, eggs, red w**e, and black olives left at a crossroads. You can also light a purple candle or leave lavender sprigs and small charms as a sign of respect.
