Local children's author/illustrator Will Hillenbrand illustrator/author/fine artist will be signing his picture books at Southerby's from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm tomorrow/Saturday while the Easter Bunny is on premises. In addition to Mr. Hillenbrand's books, IB&G will be selling his greeting cards and prints 🐰✍️📚

Mark your calendars for several great opportunities to meet Ohio artist/illustrator, Chris Payne! The Middletown Arts Center has planned a month-long art exhibition of a select number of Chris' works. They have scheduled two workshops with Chris as well as a lecture entitled Why Illustration Matters in the Arts. Chris has illustrated over 20 picture books including Lineup for Yesterday, Micawber, Mousetronaut, and The Remarkable Farkle McBride. Signed books will be available for purchase during the show.

Register for this virtual program with writer/storyteller Joseph Bruchac (Nulhegan Abenaki citizen) as he discusses his 2018 picture book about the life of Navajo code talker, Chester Nez. Date: Thursday, November 10, 2022 from 11 am-12 pm EST. Cost: Free.

Hosted by the National Archives Museum in honor of Native American Heritage Month.

In his illustrated book "Chester Nez and the Unbreakable Code," Joseph Bruchac depicts the life of an original Navajo code talker while capturing the importance of heritage.
