10 Year Anniversary
2013 - 2023

To celebrate our 10th year at the Westwood Art Show, we will have our original two designs—Westwood bike and Westwood subway circles for just $10 at the this Saturday!

10 years ago, Scarlet (just 7 at the time) and I decided to build a little one color printing press out of scrap 2x4’s and an old door hinge. We got a couple of designs together and printed about 100 shirts in our garage (aka Carriage House). The name of our little endeavor was “The Carriage House Press”. We sold every one of those shirts that day. The following year, we were asked to design the program cover which turned out very cool. Westwoodians were clamoring for more and we continued to roll out a couple new designs every year. We outgrew the garage and ended up with a little storefront in a prime location in the Town Hall District. Some people thought we were a newspaper, so we rebranded to “The Carriage House Screen Printing Company”. While we continued to crank out shirts in the back room, we needed something to bring people in to the store. We started selling skateboards to compliment our shirts. After a good couple years of skateboard sales, we rebranded to “Westwood Skateboarding“. 7 years later, our landlord Herschel passed away and we found ourselves in a tough position with the new ownership. We decided to return to our roots—the Carriage House—where we are back to printing West Side themed shirts. You can find Scarlet (now 17) and myself (Randy) at popup events such as West Side Market and, of course, The Westwood Art Show.
