It's that time of year again where the weather creates the perfect storm for brown patch in your lawn.
🦠 What is Brown Patch?
Brown patch is an airborne fungus that loves hot, humid conditions—especially overnight. Targeting tall fescue lawns.
👀 What to Watch For:
Early signs can be spotted in the morning dew—look for what appears to be spider webbing. At this stage, it's treatable with fungicide. But once it develops into brown patches, those damaged areas will need to be replaced. 😬
✅ Prevention Tips:
✔️ Water between 10 AM and 5 PM (yes, it's okay to water during the day as long as you're not creating puddles in the lawn!)
✔️ Avoid fertilizing during high heat
✔️ Stay vigilant and act early
