This isn't really an official bass related post...for the first time in 12 years the musician/bassist apartment above the shop is not spoken for! The apartment is very clean, spacious with big windows for great light. It's mostly furnished and can be used as a two or one bedroom. Includes heat and hot water! We keep the rent way below market at $850 and keep it between friends/musicians etc. It's above the showroom with expensive instruments so we prefer good people who understand what's below them...10 minutes from UC, downtown. I've had many requests to be better with Social media and post the amazing basses we get in, so here we go... Today I'll feature two spectacular new arrivals. Abraham Prescott and a Joseph Gagliano. Both have been played in numerous major orchestras and are probably the top basses for sale at the moment anywhere. I could go on gushing about these instruments but, you need to come play them! Always best to email me at [email protected] for further questions or to set up a time to come play these and and other basses the shop.

After six months swamped with major restorations, repairs and winter weather explosions we are catching up with our new basses. We have both of our new violin corner models along with a 7/8 Tewksbury ready to play, another Tewksbury and Gilkes models in varnish stages and we're now shaping blocks and bending ribs for the 3/4 Tewksbury. Come have some fun playing the new instruments. Bring any bass in you might be considering buying and compare, you'll be glad you did!
