Day one at Aquashella left me speechless. 💙

Walking into one of the largest aquarium trade shows in the country, I did not know what to expect. The response to the HappiFilter was overwhelming.

I built this filter to do more than just “filter.” The HappiFilter reduces nitrate buildup, saves aquarists hours of messy water changes, and makes sustainability effortless.

Seeing so many people light up when they realized how much time and hassle it saves reminded me why I started this journey.

Two of our most common questions were “Do you have filters for bigger tanks?” and “Why is the price higher than other filters?” We hear you.

Our goal moving forward is to expand sizing and do everything we can to bring the price down without compromising on quality, sustainability, or the innovation that makes the HappiFilter unique.

As a woman founder, it can be intimidating to put myself out there in a male dominated industry. I remind myself every day that I am exactly where I am supposed to be, and I feel lucky to be able to follow my passion to help aquarists have a happier experience with their aquarium.

🎉 Big news from the HappiFilter team! 🎉

Our aquaponic aquarium filter is now officially patented! 🌱🐟✨

This journey started back in 2023 when our founder first pitched the idea at the BGSU Hatch program. Since then, HappiFilter has grown into a startup with one mission: to make aquariums more sustainable while connecting more people to aquaponics as a solution for protecting our oceans and coastal ecosystems. 🌊💚

We’re so grateful for the support, mentorship, and legal guidance that helped us reach this milestone. And we’re just getting started. 🚀
