Red Lick Farm Greenhouse in Circleville is again going to continue last years program of selecting “Plant of the Week”. It wasn’t tooo difficult this week as soon as the non-stop begonias started showing color. Our first pick is Non-stop Flame Begonia, a free-flowering plant that bears masses of double to semi-double flowers 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 inches across. It starts with a yellow/orange center changing to dark-orange picotee edging. Great for pots and baskets.

Red Lick Farm Greenhouse in Circleville is taking French Creek Freddies promise of an early spring by growing many of your favorite flowers and vegetables. We will have more than 25 varieties of heirloom and new tomatoes, along with a great array of herbs for the garden. Our flower selection includes many of the hard-to-find varieties of Lupine, Mini-roses, and Poppies. Take a break enjoying things in our 5 greenhouses and place your order for one of our famous cheesesteak sandwiches at our on-site Bull Pit mini- restaurant. We are opening this coming Friday, April 18. Hours 9 to 5 M-F, 9 to 4 Sat, and 12 to 4 Sun.

Each week we try to select a plant from among the many, many dozen varieties of the more than 50 thousand plants we start each year that are eye-catching and show exceptional form and growth. This past week it was Lavender Stream Lobularia. We know of one lucky customer that took two home.. Of course, with all the plants we grow the supply of any one is limited. The first runner-up was the dainty little Tiger Eye Viola. Both plants do best in Sun to part shade.
