That is a great quote to live by...yet the above is actually a blueprint on how to really do it the right way.The River is your life..the bodies of your enemies are all of the destructive forces in your life. They don't stop coming ..ever. It's how you deal with it . . feed into it, and become a body making you your own worst enemy. However , those enemies are destructive in nature and will eventually destroy themselves if you simply sit back, watch ,and not lift a finger. 2 years ago this month , one came down the river I never expected. Did I want to react , did I want to engage? Bet your ass I did. But I chose to sit by the river, and sure enough 6 months ago, that body picked up speed and decided to reinsert themselves back into my river after I chose to walk away and let it go. That triggered a series of events that has now sunk them to the bottom of the river with an $11,639.50 anchor tied to them. So FTHT you should have listened..should have paid attention to your own shortcomings and dealt with your own river. But since you chose not to....you will never reach the shore....time to refill the popcorn bowl.

Out of an abundance of Caution both DTRT locations will be closed tomorrow, 9/26 due to the incoming weather. We hope all of you stay safe dry and together with your families. If conditions are favorable( no power outages) then both will reopen on Friday 9/28

Somewhere on a beach..a man sits and looks at his watch ..wondering if there was somewhere he should have been today....while the most hated man in America is respectfully laying wreaths at our National Cemetery in honor of American service members needlessly killed admittedly by the two top people that were entrusted with their safety. I have been to that walkway in Arlington a number of times.

Imagine : Today is your 95th birthday. You have lived a long and good life, to include Honorable service in the United States Navy many many years ago. Through the years everything falls by the wayside but your memories and your pride for your service. Then today, your 95th..just another one ..no big deal. Then you are presented with your party hat...looks a lot like some white one you wore years ago.....and then...when a bundle is placed in front of you..Thick wool...so familiar but ..couldn't be....then the double stars and the white piping on that flap. Nahhhh couldn't be..but...A crow with a red Chevron...why is my old ships name on here??? And then the name tag ...And then ..you realize this is the uniform that has been missing all those years...The only real tangible symbol of the honor you served your Country with...

Good Morning,
Sometime back( and we posted about this ) I was contacted by Mr. Robert Raybuck concerning a ton of uniforms and accessories. As a result, he received the Distinguished Citizen Award through the Marine Corps League. To people such as myself and Rob, it was simply doing the right thing at the right time and nothing more. That is when the pebble hit the water. The resulting ripples and waves from that single action resulted in over 40 uniforms being completed and donated to families who honored their deceased vets through the Dover Detail. Without Marines such as Robert it would be a much more difficult road to walk in providing this much needed service.I would also like to thank Det 060 for including some of our other partners. Stargazer Embroidery Patches & Printing, Gear Up Surplus Gi Jeffs Army Navy Surplus in Daytona, and Daddy O's Diner were all included in his citation indicating that everyone considers this a group effort, which it absolutely is.

#113.5 From time to time we get requests for parts and pieces to complete a uniform and this is one of those Marine Corp's Col. passed away ..the cover his collar EGA,s were missing and the white collar insert AWOL. We shipped all of it to west Va in time and the family actually decided to return the Cover to pass on to some one else

To everyone that has accepted the invite to follow the new DTRT Citra page ..I cant thank you enough ..All of you know me well enough to now how much I am invested into helping any vet that walks through the door. This new location serves two purposes.. One...It gets us right into the heart of Central Florida and expands our ability to provide services to all of Marion county.
Two...This store was placed in Marion county for a couple of reasons. First and foremost, I'm an Ocalan since '76 and it has always been my home no matter where in the world I happened to be. Yeah it's cool to come back and do right by my hometown/community. More importantly This store is staffed by a vet we recently helped get relocated back to the area from Titusville. It has given him a new sense of purpose and usefulness. Hopefully it may attract more to help out . After bills are paid(rent etc.) this will also help in paying some of his expenses such as rent , food and whatever else is needed. While it is a "Non Profit" in name..it truly is as we will use whatever is left over to reinvest into the Marion county community. Yes , Vets are at the head of the line , however, when we took that oath to defend our country, it should be realized that the word "Country" doesn't refer to real estate, but to everyone IN IT. We are NOT an organization that doles out money or helps with bills on a routine basis.. but we will help with food and other basic necessities whenever possible. So a big thanks to all of you that liked and followed ..now share the hell out of it!

We are a 501c3 Non profit which provides aid to veterans and their families. Our primary focus is providing full burial uniforms for veterans both living and deceased when requested and we ship those nationwide all at no charge. We have been in business (Brevard County ) since 2017 and have decided to expand our services to the Marion County area. Our shop is unique as we do not place prices on anything in the store. Come in...select what you cant live without and if you wish leave a donation on the way out. We have faith in the Citra community that like us you folks will always Do The Right Thing(DTRT get it?) We don't believe in charging people any kind of price on things that might otherwise be thrown away, yet can be used by someone in need. We are here to serve the community not profit from it , so please come down and see if there is anything we can help you with .
