Our new chrome-tin pink glazes are designed to be paired with chrome glazes to create flashing effects! ⚡️

To make things even more fun, we created tiles pairing our Petal Pink MS-351 with different chrome glazes.

Time to heat things up! 🔥

Unlike electric kilns, which fire in oxidation only, gas kilns give you the freedom to fire in both oxidation and reduction.

Our gas kilns come with insulating fire brick (IFB) or high-density ceramic fiber insulation, and customizable configurations like door placement, control placement, vent hoods, and custom sizing, all the way up to 60 cubic feet, firing up to cone 10.

And to make the experience even better, we’ve been working on a brand new interactive kiln configurator coming soon, so you can build your dream kiln online. 👀 We’ll keep you posted

A little glaze experiment that turned into something SO beautiful! 🌸🩷

I’ve been having so much fun experimenting with Laguna Clay Cherry Blossom Pink, and this one was especially exciting because I got to play around with something called flashing! ✨

By strategically placing tiles glazed with Versa Green around my piece in the kiln, I was able to encourage a reaction that created these gorgeous variations of pinks and reds. And I couldn’t be happier with the results! 💕🧚🏼💚

One of my favorite things about ceramics is realizing just how much there is left to learn. Every glaze, every firing, every little experiment teaches me something new. 🫶🏻

A huge thank you to Laguna Clay for giving me the opportunity to explore their glazes and share a little bit of that magic with you guys! 🪄🌸✨

Now I’m curious… have any of you experimented with flashing before?! 🤓

If you're looking for a glaze line filled with fun colors to spark your creativity, we'd recommend our Versa 5 line!

But if you're looking for a glaze line that allows you to play with different application processes, like creating dots on a cup, which can be very relaxing, we'd recommend the Versa 5 line for that, too!

Our Versa 5 line has 17 colors that can be mixed together, offering almost endless possibilities for creativity. They can be fired to cone 5/6 with little to no running.

So... I guess you should give them a try! 😉

We brought Lenny (Lenny A Larson ), our kiln department manager, to heat things up on our Instagram! 🔥

Our gas kilns are beautiful to look at, but they're not just a pretty face.

Every Laguna gas kiln is built with high-temperature K26 insulating fire brick, a complete burner system with flame safety and spark ignition, and a programmable controller so you can set your own firing programs. They run on natural gas or propane, come in different sizes for different needs, and fire across all temperature ranges, from low fire all the way to high fire reduction for stoneware and porcelain.

Oh, and they're ETL certified by Intertek, meaning they've passed rigorous safety testing and are cleared for schools, studios, and commercial spaces.

And you can customize them too!
