Oolong Month continues with a Taiwanese favorite!

Fragrant oolong and delicate osmanthus blossoms come together with soft notes of peach, honey and flowers. Osmanthus has long been associated with love and romance, making this pairing as lovely as it is delicious.

I asked a third-generation tea roaster where he thought the tradition of tea pets came from. He thought maybe it stemmed from something very human: our need for companionship. A little companion to share your tea with, even if it’s made of clay.

My tea companions are usually a little less traditional. The cats often join me, but today Morty, my dog, settled in for tea.
