We are very grateful to have received a grant from the Bristol Rotary Club this morning! The museum will use this funding toward children's activities relating to Bristol's America250 celebration. On June 13th (CT Open House Day), we will give away free copies of The History of the American Revolution by Emma Carlson Berne (while supplies last), have drop-in craft activities, and a specially themed scavenger hunt. On June 14th on the Federal Hill Green, the museum will have a booth where children and families can make a patriotic pinwheel and an American Flag-themed fortune teller. During July 4th weekend at the museum, families can participate in a variety of drop-in activities, including a firework telling time puzzle, patriotic party hats, and the National Bell Festival where visitors will join in a nationwide bell ringing event by gathering in the sundial garden and ringing our 1891 bell. We want to thank everyone who attended our show this past weekend. This is the third year of the show that is held in conjunction with our annual NAWCC PNW Regional Convention. As word has spread, the attendance has gone up every year. Last year's show there were 150 members of the public come through the doors. This year we had 250 in attendance. Whether it was a clock, watch, tool or book, it seems everyone left with a new treasure to take home. Plans are already under way for next year's show. We will post something here once the dates are firmed up. We hope to see you at the next show.

We neglected to show the video of the unveiling on the “ Free Table” on Saturday. The old saying of “One person’s junk is another’s treasure” clearly applies here. Pretty sure everyone came away with something.

Today is the final day of the show. Come and look for a new treasure for your collection, or a great bargain as our vendors pack up and get ready to head home.

The Hilton Garden Inn is just off I-205 at the Sunnyside Rd exit in Clackamas. They have plenty of free parking and just a few blocks away from the Town Center Max Station. Hours today are 9:00 - 2:00. We hope to see you there.
