This customer sodded his lawn with Provista Bluegrass, which we like to say is “Roundup ready” (glysophate) meaning you can spray Roundup on the grass to kill any w**d or foreign grass without harming the lawn! This variety loves to be cut short, and requires substantially less mowing than any other variety. It’s a great way to go!

Not sure if your lawn actually needs water? Grab a screwdriver.

Push it into the soil. If you can barely get it into the ground, your lawn could use some water. After watering, you should be able to push the screwdriver about 4–6 inches into the soil. That’s a simple way to gauge whether the water is getting deep enough.
