The annual IMCATS (Construction & Truck Model show) is this weekend. This year is going to be GRREEEEAAAATTTT with new dealers for old, new and custom models, lots of custom models for sale, and a time to meet old friends and make new friends!

January 28-29 is the annual Amherst Railway Show in Springfield, MA. We will be exhibiting at this show in the back part of the Mallory building with the 1:87 vehicle club. Stop by and say "Hi". If you wish for us to bring anything in particular with us for you to save on shipping or for fragile items please let us know by Thursday January 26.

This is a great show with many amazing layouts, lots of trains, manufacturers set up displaying new items and so much more.

This weekend we will be exhibiting at the Amherst Railway Show in Springfield, MA. This is a HUGE show about 4 acres in size with amazing layouts, dealers from all over, manufacturers, and demos and clinics.

We will be in the Mallory building in the back part in the 1:87 vehicle club area. We will have a large assortment of models for sale. If you would like us to bring anything to the show to save yourself on shipping or possible damage on fragile items like handbuilts let us know by Thursday January 27 at noon.

We will also have samples of the new Diecast Masters Caterpillar 6060 excavator and shovel on display.

New Diecast Masters models arrived on Friday. These include the Caterpillar pavers, profilers, 24 grader, International trucks with loads, cat 12 paver set (new & old) and the International lowboys in red with chrome wheels, jeep, and both boosters & the red International dump truck with chrome wheels.

Sunday, 2 days before Conexpo 2014 opens. A lot of work still needs to be done. The smell of wax and Armor-All is strong in the air. Paint chips and scratches are being repainted so these pieces of dirt digging and lifting machines can gleam! This shows some of the hard work people put into making this show look the way it does.

The IMCATS show is only a little over a week away. October 5th. This is a great chance to meet fellow construction and truck collectors and enthusiasts. Its a fun time to chat, find models, see new prototypes and see some great custom models and dioramas. I know some of the custom builders have been very busy building some new models that I'm sure everyone will want in their collection.

We will also have our store open extended hours during the weekend with over 15,000 items in the shop.

The long awaited arrival of "OVERSIZE - Images of Heavy Western Trucking, Vol.2" has arrived. This is the second in the series of books by Mark Wayman on OVERSIZE trucking in the US. This book not only continues on with more great pictures of Super Heavy Haul and lowbeds, but also includes fantastic chapters on building the Hoover Dam Bypass bridge, specialized trucks/cranes used by the rail industry and a chapter on building the high voltage power lines. 160 pages of color pictures. Watch our web site for new stuff! The Nurnberg Toy Fair starts next week February 1st and ends the 6th. This is THE show for new releases every year. Hopefully Conrad, NZG, WSI, Universal Hobbies, Joal and the other manufacturers will have some great announcements.
