History:
Bruce D. McArthur first opened his doors of Flint & Frizzen Gun Shop in the Fall of 1967. However, the original store was not in it's current location in Clarkston - the first store was in Keatington Antique Village - which is now know Caterbury Village in Lake Orion. In 1969 Bruce bought a piece of land in Clarkston and built the gun shop that is there today. He opened in 1970 and has se

rved the firearm needs of thousands since then. Bruce first became involved in gunsmithing in the late 1950s when he got a job at Art Lawson's gun shop in Clarkston, MI. After highschool Bruce spent 2 years at Trinidad Junior College in Trinidad, Colorado studying gunsmithing. Later he spent a brief period of time near Miami Florida working for Bud Lawson in his gun shop. Finally in 1967 Bruce was able to open his own business and after 40 years he has become one of the world's foremost authorities on fi****ms.

Friend, Mark G. Bunarek's funeral will be held on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at Peace Lutheran Church - 7390 Elizabeth Lake Rd., Waterford, Michigan.
Mark was an Elder at Peace Lutheran Church.

Visitation will begin at 10 am. The funeral will be at 11 am.

Mark's sister, Cheryl Grande, Church Friends and Re-Enacting Friends will be in attendance. A luncheon will follow the service.

Mark passed away in the hospital, while awaiting surgery. In recent years, he was troubled with cardiac problems and kidney disease.

Mark was a keen student of military history. He attended anniversary celebrations at Quebec City, Yorktown, and Waterloo (Belgium).

I knew Mark from Revolutionary War Re-Enactments and as a fellow member of Michigan Antique Arms Collectors. Mark was friendly, knowledgeable, and generous with his expertise.

Wow it finally happened!! We are filled with Joy and Sadness- the tank didn't seem to want to leave but after 3 different trailers and a broken cable, they finally succeeded! It will now have a new life ✨️

A Springfield Township landmark will soon be heading to Warren.

Last week, the Water Buffalo LVT-4 tank that has long sat in front of the Flint and Frizzen Gun Shop at 8735 Dixie Highway was donated to the Detroit Arsenal Armory, where it will soon be restored and then used to raise awareness for vehicles of its kind.
