Compared to the stock spring, The Geissele Super 42 Spring has a decreased tendency to lose length and force over a given round count. As an added bonus, it removes the annoying spring reverberations (twang) heard and felt by the shooter through the buttstock. The Super 42 Spring has a 15% stronger average return force than the standard buffer spring. This will assist in stripping rounds out of the magazine when operating with a dirty weapon or when using steel-case ammo.

“One of the biggest standouts for me is the battery life. I’ve been running the same AEMS since 2021, and the original battery didn’t finally die until 2026. The glass is crystal clear, target acquisition is incredibly fast, and the included mount is the perfect height right out of the box. I’m also a big fan of the multiple reticle options it makes the optic easy to tailor to different shooting styles and situations.”

Will:
“The green reticle is what really sold me. For my eyes, it’s the crispest dot I’ve used and is much easier to pick up than most other optics. I also like the flexibility with mounting options, I run mine on a Reptilia mount, and I think it looks fantastic unity tactical has came out with their own version as well. Another feature I really appreciate is the auto-brightness adjustment. It reacts almost instantly to changing lighting, so I never have to think about adjusting it when moving between bright sunlight and darker environments. For the price point it checks 99% of shooters boxes for dots forsure.”
