Again, we are asking the community to please follow our donation guidelines!

1. We ONLY accept donations during business hours which is clearly marked.
2. We ask that your donations be clean, usable, free from stains, rips and not broken. Clearly marked.

As you can see in these photos, someone decided to use our property as the dump. Everything that was dropped in front of our business is garbage. From broken items, filthy unusable clothing, used, unclean underwear, a bag of lawn clippings and empty food containers. ALL of these items should have been put in your own garbage and not dumped at our business for us to deal with.

This is a huge cost to us and not helpful in any way!

FYI - we also have cameras.

Turning Point is always grateful for the donations given to our thrift store!
However, please follow the small request of only donating during business hours as posted.
This gives us the ability to let you know if we are able to accept your donations that day or to ask if you can bring them in on a different day because we are full.
Our intake room is very small and we are only able to take small amounts each day, giving the volunteers time to process the items, get them priced and out into the sales floor.
Also, this gives us the opportunity to let you know what we are and are not currently accepting.
As a general rule, we do not accept winter items, Christmas items, etc. in the spring and summer months simply because we do not have the space to store these items.
So we are asking you to please either call us first at 503-728-3126 to see if we are taking donations that day, or to only bring your donations to us during business hours on Monday, Tuesday or Thursday between the hours of 10 AM and 4 PM.
And lastly, we are not the dump. We do not want items that you are throwing out in the garbage, such as broken toys, dirty laundry, and personal papers. This is a huge cost to us when you drop off your trash in front of our business.

Turning Point Community Service Center in Clatskanie, OR is hiring for an Intake Specialist. Please apply directly at the center located at 220 E. Columbia River Hwy. We are open for applications on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday from 10-4.
Applications can be picked up at the front register in the thrift store or at the Intake desk.
