Our cosplay contest returns, better than ever!

Our contest isn't just for bragging rights: this year we have $1500 in cash and prizes up for grabs, including some amazing merchandise provided by our Cosplay Sponsor Larger Than Life, as well as $500 in cash prizes awarded to adult Creator cosplayers! All winners will also receive a framed award certificate.

𝗔𝗱𝘂𝗹𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁 - 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟴𝘁𝗵: The adult's contest has two sections: Open & Creator. Open is for any adult cosplayers, whether or not their costumes are homemade. Participating in the Creator category qualifies you to compete for the cash prizes and requires at least 75% self-created cosplay (excluding shoes, wigs, contacts). Each section has three awards available.

𝐊𝐢𝐝'𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭 (𝟏𝟑 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫) - 𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟗𝐭𝐡: The kid's contest is open to both handmade and store-bought costumes and also includes 3 awards!

We're expanding Cosplay @ RGC in other ways, too! We're happy to announce that we will have a cosplay repair station on the show floor, as well as a Cosplay Lounge downstairs next to the panel rooms. There will be a stage walk for winners, as well as an on-stage photo shoot that's open to everyone in cosplay on each day!

We always want to support the local pop culture and horror community and there is no better way than to be a part of local events. The Sci-Fi Horror Fest is shapping up to be pretty cool and we encourage everyone to check it out. They are in the process of booking guest and planning the event details as we speak.
