Tomorrow is October.

And we’re about to see A LOT of pink. 💗

Pink shirts. Pink drinks. Pink products. Pink ribbons everywhere.

We love seeing people rally around those affected by breast cancer.

But this October, we also want to encourage our community to Think Beyond the Pink.

A pink ribbon doesn’t necessarily tell you:

🎀 Whether money is actually being donated
🎀 How much is being donated
🎀 Where that money is going
🎀 What that money will actually fund

Throughout October, we’re going to talk about pinkwashing, charitable giving and how to be an informed donor.

And we’re going to turn those questions on ourselves, too.

If our community trusts Girls Night Out Altoona with its money, you deserve to know where it goes.

Awareness matters. Accountability does too.
