Irish Hammer Sportfishing would like to thank all the amazing people who fished with us this year. 2025 was a fantastic season!!

Smallmouth Bass fishing was spectacular. The upper St. Lawrence River continues to be a premier destination in North America to catch trophy sized Smallmouth Bass. The 2025 season saw more smallies hit the net than any other season.

This Muskie season saw several anglers surpass the 50” mark on the bump board. The upper St. Lawrence is considered a low population density Muskie fishery. Every fish that hits the net is earned! The grind is real and every Muskie caught is an accomplishment. Congratulations to the anglers who saw a Muskie in the net this season.

Thanks again to all of you who support my business. A special thank you to Capt Matt. I appreciate the help on and off the water.

My calendar is open for the 2026 season. Please send me a message or give me a call to reserve a date. Irish Hammer Sportfishing will be rolling out a few initiatives for 2026. A few boat competitions and an initiative to raise money for a great cause. More to come on that in early 2026.

September has some fantastic fishing! Smallmouth bass in the morning followed by the pursuit of Muskie in the evening. Chrissy and Jason got to enjoy both. Jason took me up on my advertisement to fish a split day targeting both species. They experienced success on both fronts.
Chrissy has been working on landing her first Muskie for more than a decade. Her persistence paid off. Congrats on your first St. Larry Muskie and sticking a bunch of smallies all in day.

I had the opportunity to participate in this year’s Troopers assisting Troops Military Appreciation Day. What a great event to recognize our active duty soldiers, veterans and Gold Star families. Irish Hammer Sportfishing recognizes the sacrifices these proud, patriotic individuals have made and continue to make to protect our freedoms. We thank you!!!
A great day of fishing was followed by a shore dinner and prizes and gifts to all participants. All of this hosted at Clayton’s Harbor Hotel. A fantastic job once agin by the team members at North Country Troopers assisting Troops that coordinate this yearly event.

An August to remember!! Some of the best smallmouth bass fishing I have seen. Great times and memories aboard the vessels. Looking forward to what September will provide.

I still have some limited availability for smallmouth bass in September. I am also providing a split day option for the month of September. Smallmouth bass fishing in the morning and Muskie fishing in the evening.

Great to get a few of the Van Tassel brothers out for a morning fish followed by a shore dinner. Fish were chomping on the live bait drop shot rigs. Smallmouth were the target and didn’t disappoint. We kept several smaller fish for our shore dinner and released the majority. Freshwater drum and a healthy catfish also participated. Another day of making memories on the Larry. Thank you Lyn for making it happen.

Team Irish Hammer is grinding away having fun this summer. Smallmouth Bass are schooled up. Drop shotting live bait in 26-40 feet of water has been very productive. Fish will move with weather conditions but when you locate them the bite is great. Making new memories every day. Thank you to all of you bringing your business my way.

A big thank you to the Howard family for giving Irish Hammer Sportfishing the opportunity to participate in their family get together on Bluff Island.
An early morning pickup of all participants on the island followed by some fantastic Smallmouth Bass fishing and ending with a delicious shore dinner overlooking the always beautiful St. Lawrence River. Great times!!

2025 season is off to a great start. We picked up where we left off from 2024, putting smiles on faces, laughing and making memories. The Smallmouth Bass fishing is getting better by the day with Smallmouth Bass orientating in their summer locations.
I am looking forward to seeing old friends and making new friends aboard the Irish Hammer and Ruby in 2025. A few pictures to share and enjoy. , ,

Happy New Year to all my Irish Hammer Sportfishing friends and family. All the best in 2025!! More memories will be made!!

2024 was a fantastic year for Team Irish Hammer. We added another boat to the fleet and brought two new captains onto the team. A well deserved thank you to Captain Matt Costantino and Captain Stew Wilson for your hard work and dedication to the team. It is recognized and appreciated. A special thank you to the Thousand Island Bait Store. The owners and staff go above and beyond to take care of the local charter captains and the recreational fishing community.

I am taking bookings for 2025. Please reach out to get your date(s) on the calendar. It is filling faster than expected.

I have added a few pictures of the memories made from 2024. A couple personal bests were caught by friends aboard Team Hammer vessels this season. Awesome job!! So many great pictures to choose from. Enjoy the small sample of memories made.
