Cary, NC Project Update 🪵
A lot of people don’t realize prefinished hardwood isn’t sanded the same way as a traditional site-finished floor.
The factory-applied aluminum oxide finish is tough on abrasives and dulls sandpaper in a hurry. That’s why we start with a steep angle cuts. It allows us to efficiently remove the factory finish while also blending out the factory bevels, giving the floor a flatter, more seamless appearance before we move into the normal sanding sequence.
It’s one of those details most homeowners never see, but it’s a big part of what separates an average refinish from one that truly transforms the floor.
