Some days I’m the anxious mom—I’m worried about your every move and hover more than normal.⁣
⁣
Some days I'm the angry mom—I yell, and tears form in your eyes. Then, I take you by the hand and walk you to your room. I shut the door as you cry.⁣
⁣
Some days I’m the playful mom—I’m present, playful, and fun. I play dress-up, and we dance around until we fall into a tickle fight.⁣
⁣
Some days I’m the struggling mom—I feel exhausted and unmotivated. I often scream in my head but have no energy to scream out loud. And I feel mom guilt for not being the person I should be. But I can’t be 𝘩𝘦𝘳 today.⁣
⁣
Some days I’m the mom who has it mostly together—I’ve conquered my “to-do” list, minimized meltdowns, and got everyone to everywhere we had to be on time. I say “mostly” because I never have it all together. I'm not a perfect mom.⁣
⁣
All of us moms are different moms on different days. We're human, after all.⁣
⁣
But every day, if we’re a mom who loves unconditionally and with her entire heart,⁣
and If we’re a mom who tries.⁣
⁣
That means we’re a good mom.
