Turn an old wooden chair into a handy little bookshelf by removing the seat and fitting a sturdy wooden shelf between the legs near the bottom. Use the original seat area to hold taller books upright, with the chair back acting as a natural support. Sand any rough edges and add a distressed coat of paint if desired. It is a clever way to save an old chair—apparently retirement looks a lot like becoming a librarian.

TWO THINGS:

*Quick reminder that we will open tomorrow, Saturday August 8 after one o'clock due to Grandview Lions Club vision screenings happening at Itasca ISD.

*We checked out the 2-piece primitive kitchen cabinet. Offering it "As Is" (haven't had a chance to clean it up and the top piece is missing drawers) for $99 or best offer.
We will sell the two pieces together, even though we don't think they go together. A person that likes wood working can repair the leg w/missing roller and add shelves for it.
It will look great in a country-style farm home kitchen. A really cool, unusual piece!
