**VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT**

Matthew is a volunteer and a neighbor here at Well of Hope Food Bank, who has been with us for a year and a half.

Yes, he is also the husband of one of our intake managers, Elizabeth!

Matthew brings their daughter to help stocking the refrigerator and bakery shelves, pass out food to our neighbors, clean, unload truck deliveries, and help at the thrift store processing receivables and organizing the floor.

He remembers when his family was the most in need and became neighbors at Well of Hope food bank, and how grateful he was to receive help from the food bank. After his wife was hired to work as an intake manager, it gave him great satisfaction to give back by volunteering as well as support her role.

About the impact Well of Hope has had on him and his family, Matthew says, “Well of Hope has been such a blessing to my family and helped us get through a very rough time. Volunteering has deepened my sense of compassion for others as I meet and serve those like I was, who are going through a rough time in life.”

**VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT**

This is Ms. Everdean. She has been with us for four years faithfully working the early morning shift in the food bank filling fresh produce bags and any other tasks as needed.

Ms. Everdean first came to us as a thrift store patron and then a neighbor at the food bank before choosing to give back to the place that she felt so blessed by.

Everdean has been such a supportive and beautiful part of our Well of Hope family, and we are so grateful for her consistent productivity and team player attitude!

Everdean is a local neighbor, residing with her family, including a husband, grandchild and great grandchild!

Thanks for all you do, Ms. Everdean. We love you! 🥰

***VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT****

Julia has volunteered at our thrift store for four years now, and she helps us keep our store successful and organized!

A member of New Water Church, an our local Seminole church indigenous community, Julia is a wife and grandmother.

In her past, Julia ran her own food pantry for reservation residents and helped her church in Kentucky as well, so when she came to visit our thrift store and found out that the proceeds help fund our food bank, she couldn’t help but stay!

Since then, she gives her time many times per week, generously giving of her love and care to all the staff and volunteers as well. She even brought her family members to help!

We are so grateful for volunteers like Julia, our heroes and friends.

GOD is Good, 50 volunteers , 22000 pounds of food donated by 2nd Harvest Food Bank and over 200 families received healthy portions of meat, corn on cob, carrots, zucchini, pinto beans, raisins, water and food boxes with assortment of can goods. God bless all who gave of their time and love to our community.
