I have this big tree in my back yard. It’s called a . This tree blooms only in North America, Caribbean and East Asia. Since this tree blooms 3 different things at once (flowers, leaves and fruit/seed pods) this tree is male and female. In some traditions in Asia, and in the Caribbean, the flowers are dried out and steeped into hot water creating a soothing tea. It helps with respiratory issues as such as cough and congestion. I have been drinking the tea for 3 years now. At night before go to bed or early when I get up and it’s a little chilly outside.

The Green leaves are used in traditions for a laxative, a narcotic to treat whooping cough and also was used by Native Americans medicine practice for heart illnesses.
