Are dads just house plants with more opinions?🤔

For the dad who "doesn't want anything"... get him a low maintenance plant like a snake plant, pothos, or the Plant of the Week: a Bromeliad (pictured).

☀️they need bright, indirect light
💧their roots are not the primary way they absorb water, it's actually through their "cups" or "tanks" - the bowls that their leaves form against the stem. Fill the cups with water and the bromeliad can store and siphon water as needed
🪨since bromeliads have a slightly different way of getting watered, their roots and soil are more for structural support, they still need consistent moisture, but lower levels to prevent root rot

We have a nickname at the shop for exceptionally thorny flowers, greenery, and plants: Poke-y Bastards. FS is one of our absolute favorite roses (we used it in one of our first weddings!), but it is definitely one of the poke-y-est of bastards. Still 🩷 it though.

Process some 🌞 "Brigthon" 🌞 Roses with me

These are actually Brighton roses, named for Brighton, England, where they were first developed. The label was mis-printed as "Brigthon", but there's enough flower variety names that make me question my ability to spell anything that I didn't even blink. Also, those scissors knew they would be needed... somehow ✂️👀

As one of the gentlest bunches I have ever processed (only one thorn!) I can understand why these deep yellow roses symbolize joy and optimism.

Hi Darling Buds!

Typically, Mother's Day or graduation or weddings would take top spot for mentions in May (and don't get us wrong, those were all fantastic), but what really is the highlight this month is a foster pup we have been taking care of! Meet Orla, a 1 year old pitt mix who is an absolute sweetheart 💛 We won't go into details here (we couldn't fit everything about her in the character limit anyways), but if you are interested in finding out more about Orla and being considered for adoption, please DM us or reach out through all the usual contacts. 🐾
