Same era, all supercharged V8s, genuine rivals.
But only the Ford is automatic only. The Hellcat and the ZL1 both offered a six-speed. Ford said it didn’t have a manual that could handle 760 horsepower, so the GT500 shipped with a 7-speed Tremec dual-clutch and no third pedal. It shifts in 80 milliseconds, faster than any human can.
