We rarely know the full story of an item we encounter every single day, especially vintage ones.

But for this pair of theater seats designed by Gerd Lange for the Frankfurt Alte Opera in 1979…. I took the opportunity to go full nerd. I can’t help myself, especially with such a cool provenance.

These are born from decades of citizen organizing to save a cultural landmark from demolition, in the aftermath of war.

And oh my word, they are gorgeous. Only 4500 were made.

Bands of aluminum wrap the mohair upholstery and make the occupant feel luxuriously comfortable.

Art deco meets space age meets modernism, in a 100-year old building (at the time).

Go see these stunners for yourself at , I dropped them off yesterday. Take them home if they resonate with you, they’re ready for their next chapter.

Yo yo yo thank you everyone who came out to Philly Vintage Flea this weekend it was AMAZING. This is my one year anniversary of doing this show, and I keep coming back cause you never EVER disappoint 👏

✨Impeccable vibes ✨worked my 🍑 off. Sold all the digital cameras I brought with me 📸 got accessories & clothes into loving homes.

It was a family affair, my mama, Casey’s dad and sister all came out to help - and shop 😉 it’s impossible not to.

After a few huge restocks were looking mighty fine down in ! I’m so excited to join this crew. Finally getting it more filled out - I have tons of swanky mid-century modern glass, ceramic, brass, acrylic… oh yeah and barkcloth, all the textures and shapes.

Plus some very fun and uncommon furniture. I’m a sucker for a good chair, and don’t get me started on the lamps.

What do you wanna see come into the shop? Choosing what goes in and when is so fun.
