I had to stop by and see my friend Maryana with Maryana | Antiques & Vintage Home Decor for the big reveal of her second container arrival straight from Europe!

Let me just say… the treasures did NOT disappoint! 😍 There’s something so exciting about seeing a container unloaded and getting a first look at all the beautiful, one-of-a-kind pieces that have made their way across the pond.

FUN FACT: I began shopping her booth at Grit & Grace, (where I’m now located), which is what inspired me to begin this booth adventure instead of a full time brick & mortar shop to allow me more family time. “I bet your entire home looks like this.” 🍂🤎

Well… yes, but also NO.

Yes, our home is already dressed for fall. Pumpkins are making their appearance, cozy textures are coming out, and I’m over here happily living in my fall era.

But let’s be real… there is STILL laundry to fold. There are dishes in the sink. There are shoes, baseball things, everyday clutter, and probably a mess somewhere that I’m pretending I don’t see.

Because as much as I love beautiful, collected, styled spaces… we actually LIVE here. 🧡

And honestly, being a small-business owner has a lot to do with why our fall comes out so early.

When your business is centered around home decor, vintage finds, styling, staging, and creating beautiful spaces, the seasons don’t necessarily start when the calendar says they do. 🍂

I’m constantly thinking about color, texture, layering, tablescapes, vignettes, merchandising, and how to make someone walk into a space and immediately feel something.

My home becomes a little bit of my creative workshop.
My shop becomes my canvas.
And sometimes the things I’m putting together for customers inspire what I want to do at home… and sometimes it’s the other way around. 🤎

That’s one of the things I love most about owning a small business. It isn’t just a job I clock in and out of. It’s something I genuinely live and breathe.

But please don’t confuse a styled corner with a perfectly clean house. Behind every pretty fall vignette is probably a basket of laundry I’m avoiding. 😉

Yesterday was one of those Sundays that felt like it had about 48 hours packed into it… 😂

Church in the morning ⛪️
A little Chattanooga adventure 🏙️
Good food and family time at Elsie’s Daughter 🍽️ to celebrate my MIL birthday this week.
Then off to Georgia for a friend’s first PSA baseball game to show some support.
And somehow, after ALL of that… we still weren’t ready for the day to end.

So we loaded up the dogs, hopped on the boat, and headed down the Hiwassee River for a little nighttime cruise to witness my favorite “golden hour”.

And honestly… that was my favorite part.

Watching the sunset over the river, listening to the water, having our family together, the dogs along for the ride, and finally getting a chance to slow down and breathe.

It made me stop and think about how easy it is to get caught up in the busy.

The business.
The schedule.
The baseball practices and games.
The errands.
The house.
The never-ending to-do list.

But these are the moments I want to remember.

Not whether everything on my list got checked off… but the Sunday we went to church, laughed together over a meal, cheered from the baseball field, and ended the night watching the sunset from a boat on the Hiwassee River.

Life can be incredibly busy, but busy isn’t always bad when you’re busy making memories with the people you love. 🧡

I’m learning that sometimes the greatest blessing is simply having a full day… because it’s full of the people, places, and little moments God has given us.

There’s something so special about finding a friend along the way—especially one who understands the beautiful, exhausting, sometimes chaotic world of small business. 🧡

I met this sweet friend around the time I was opening my shop. She started out shopping in my store, then somehow we ended up creating a Whatnot together, sharing ideas, cheering each other on, and eventually opening booths alongside one another. Now we’re both learning, growing, figuring things out, and navigating this new season of having a small booth instead of a local mercantile/antique store.

And let me tell you… she has shown up for me. 🥹

There have been days when I was completely exhausted and just didn’t have another ounce of energy left to give my booth. She’d walk in with a hammer, nails, screws, a drill—and probably some kind of diamond bit that I have absolutely NO idea what it’s actually for 😂—and say, “Let’s knock this out!”

She’s helped me design, decorate, rearrange, problem-solve, and most importantly, she’s pushed me when I needed it.

So today, when she was slammed with work and had tons of new inventory waiting to make its way into her booth, I told her, “Okay, now it’s MY turn. Let me do it!”

And that’s what friends do. 🧡
You show up. You help. You encourage. You celebrate each other. You learn together. You pick each other up when one of you is exhausted. And you genuinely want to see the other one succeed.

So here’s to Ashley Flowers and all of her new small-business endeavors! 🥂

I truly hope this little booth EXPLODES with success because she deserves it. I know how much of a passion antiques and unique finds are for her, and I want nothing more than to see her continue doing what she loves and bringing you all the most amazing treasures.

Here’s to new booths, new adventures, lots of learning, plenty of laughs, and a friendship I’m so thankful came from this crazy little small-business journey.

There’s just something about a change of season that makes us want to hit the reset button! 🤎

We’ve been busy giving our booth at Grit & Grace Market in Downtown Cleveland a full FALL refresh just in time for their Fall Open House! 🎃🍎🍂 big thanks to Ashley Flowers for all of her hard work & help these past 48 hours to get this accomplished after two pieces that were my fall plan SOLD & found their new homes.

Think cozy textures, vintage treasures, fall foliage, nostalgic finds, unique home décor, and all the little touches that make your home feel ready for the season. 🧺🕯️🍁

If you’ve ever wondered what happens when a vintage lover spends WAY too much time alone with her antiques… 😂

Apparently, I name them. 😂

Especially my pitchers. 🏺🤣

At this point, they’re not just pitchers… they’re members of the family. Some have sweet little names, some have personalities, and a few have absolutely no business having as much character as they do. 😂

So naturally, I had to introduce you to the pitcher family.

Because if you’re going to collect old things, you might as well give them names, right?!
