Growing up, much of my childhood was spent on our boat perch fishing on Lake Erie, or rod in hand on the bank of the bayou of my grandma's cottage in Ludington, Michigan trying to catch sunfish- and if we were lucky- bass, watching my dad tie flies and my favorite part- eating all of the delicious fresh caught fish we... well I should say, mostly my mom and dad π, caught! There is absolutely nothing like enjoying perch and walleye, fried up all golden brown, that was just brought home that afternoon. Christmas Eve isn't Christmas Eve without my dad's smoked fish π₯° or my mom's poached salmon. Mmmmm π€€. Early in mine and Scott's relationship, well before we were even married, my dad started teaching him how to tie flies and the two of them would go out on the river fly fishing. It created a passion for it in Scott and now he is passing that onto our youngest, Aaron, who definitely inherited the anglers gene! It was only a matter of time that I started painting these things- honestly, I'm surprised it has taken me this long!! But now, I gotta say I am πͺ hooked *ba-dum-tiss* π₯π they are just so darn pretty! New favorite thing to paint for sure.
