There are a few different ways to handle this situation besides not renewing this liquor license. What happens if Townhall can't do any business because of this? What happens to the 100+ people who bust their a$$ everyday working at Townhall to make a living? I'm ot condoning Domestic Violence at all. The judicial system did what they were supposed to do. Basically Cleveland City Council is willing to risk shutting down a thriving business that pays it's share of taxes and has provided jobs to Clevelanders for 5 years, when many other entertainment establishments in the Downtown and near West Side have closed down?
How about a secondary probation and community service that focuses on the inner city youth and the condition of the impoverished neighborhoods? It's very possible that this kind of community work would humble Mr. George and at the same time, provide young minority entrepreneurs, who seek a career in Hospitality and Entertainment, some incredible insight from his business success.
Just a thought........
