Hosting Alexis's 10th birthday reinforced one of the reasons I started Dreamee Slumber Parties in the first place. 🥹💖
Creating a special celebration takes so much more than what people see in the final photos. It's the planning, figuring everything out, the stress, shopping, personalizing, setting up, cleaning up, laundry, sanitizing, and all of the little details behind the scenes—on top of hosting and everything else life already demands of us.
This is a big part of why I started Dreamee.
To take a huge part of the work and stress off of others' plates so they can focus on the things that matter most—including soaking up the memories.
And the reactions? They reinforce it every single time. ✨
We often hear, "This really is magical," along with jaw drops, excitement, screams, and lots of other amazing reactions. I've even had a mom cry happy tears when she saw her daughter's setup.
One of the things I love most about what I do is hearing about all the fun, laughter, and memories made with friends after I leave a setup.
But witnessing it firsthand? There truly are no words.
The laughter.
The friendships.
The excitement.
The memories being made in real time.
It's so valuable to have someone you trust to handle the details for you.
Someone who cares about your child's celebration as much as you do.
Someone who will treat it as if it were their own child or family member.
Honestly, if I could have found someone I trusted completely to put the same care, thought, attention, and heart into Alexis's celebration that I would have, I would have happily handed over the reins and spent even more time soaking in the memories rather than trying to do it all myself. It would have been such a gift—and absolutely worth it.
This weekend was a reminder of just how important these moments are—and how important what we do really is.
The decorations eventually come down.
The laundry gets done.
The supplies get put away.
But the memories they make with their friends?
Those last so much longer. 💕✨
