Our newest addition at the Arboretum is a story walk that starts by the entry pavilion and progresses deep into the conifer collection. Make sure to stop by and see which way the wind takes Leaf.

Thanks to the River Bluff Foundation, an affiliate of Community Foundation of Greater Dubuque, for their generous support of the Arboretum that allowed the story walk to come to life.

Thanks to Ann and Alyssa for bringing Leaf's Adventures to life. Thank you to Matt from Grow Clinton for his coordination. Clinton Printing Co. did a great job with the physical media.

🌳 Nearly 40 years of helping the Arboretum grow.

We’re thrilled to see our own David Horst, Director of Horticulture, featured in the Positively Clinton spotlight!

David first began working at Bickelhaupt Arboretum in 1986, when Bob and Frances Bickelhaupt were still tending the grounds themselves. Through decades of growth and change, his knowledge, care and dedication have remained an important part of what makes the Arboretum so special.

From caring for our living collections to helping with the construction of our newest resident, Marvin, David has had a hand in so much of what visitors experience here today. 🌲💚

Thank you to Andy Green and the Sawmill Museum for sharing David’s story—and thank you, David, for everything you do for the Arboretum and our community.

A beautiful space getting some well-deserved recognition! 🌿👏

The Bickelhaupt Arboretum has received a Property Improvement Program Award from the City of Clinton Neighborhood Improvement Committee!

This follows the recent transformation of the Bickelhaupt homestead into a place for education, events, and community connection—all while preserving the beauty that has made it such a special part of Clinton for decades.

Thank you to the City of Clinton Neighborhood Improvement Committee for this recognition, and to everyone who helped make these improvements possible. 💚
